Data Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2004 by a team of passionate individuals with myriad experience in data automation, storage virtualization and enterprise storage technology.

Dedicated to developing automated data storage products designed to ensure that data is always protected and easy-to-manage, the fruit of its labor – Drobo – was launched in 2007 to critical acclaim from the media including scoring various prestigious Editor’s Choice awards from CNET and PC Magazine among others. Data Robotics was also named one of the “Most Promising New Companies” by the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs in 2007.
