Zeiss Sports Optics
First-Class Optics for Big Accomplishments

More than 20 Nobel Prize winners have used their microscopes for their medical, biological and pharmaceutical research. The Zeiss optical system is used in the observatories to look into outer space. Adventurers like Simon King and Sven Achtermann have used Zeiss optics in their expeditions. With such prestigious patronage, you can trust the image quality you see through the eyes of Zeiss.

The secret behind Zeiss' success lies in the technologies embedded in their binoculars, monoculars and spotting scopes.

Carl Zeiss T* Multi-Coating

The Carl Zeiss T* Multi-Coating provides transmission values up to and over 90%. This newly developed coating can be found on most Zeiss binoculars - the relevant models are marked with T* - and enhances the brightness of the image. Even in dim conditions, greater resolution and luminosity are ensured.

LotuTec® Coating

The LotuTec Coating offers a protective layer to your lens surface; it acts like the water-repellant surface of a lotus leaf, allowing water droplets (and even dirt, grease and fingerprints!) to be easily cleaned off, leaving no residue nor fear of damaging the high-quality lens. The weather may change, but good vision remains.

Fluoride-Containing Lenses

The presence of fluoride in the glass used by Carl Zeiss for its lenses helps to reduce scattered light and disturbing reflections, and increase light transmission and image brightness at twilight. The result is sharp images in vivid details and rich color.

Extreme Impact-Resistant Construction

The body of a binocular is constructed of light aluminum and high-performance polyamide (60% is glass fiber) to withstand extreme impact, water and dust. The strong rubber jacket protects against shock; the nitrogen filling ensures that the interiors of the binoculars and spotting scopes stay fog-free.

Ergonomic Design

The surfaces of the binocular are easy to grip and the body is perfectly balanced for a longer, more comfortable observation. It also has soft eyecups for observers with or without glasses.
