BeLEAF in the Power of CAPTURE

Suntec Convention Centre, Meeting Room 325
02 May 2010 - 02 May 2010

The main objectives of the workshop were to introduce to the local photography community the latest version of the Phase One Capture One software - Capture One 5 PRO - as well as offer participants an opportunity to experience the new camera system made up of the Aptus-II digital camera backs from Leaf and the 645DF camera body from Phase One.

We had a wonderful line-up of guest speakers who shared generously with our full-house crowd of 50 participants on a variety of topics:

  • Mr. Jesper Printz Johansen from Phase One in Copenhagen, who graced the event together with his colleagues Mr. Gary Wong and Mr. Fai Chan from Leaf's Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong; and
  • Mr. Matthew Tan, an award-winning and well-respected portrait photographer.

A sneak peek at what went on during the workshop, which was extended by another hour to accommodate the exciting programs we had in store for everyone:

Staff training with Jesper, Gary and Fai before the actual workshop began.

Our lovely audience with their laptops ready for the hands-on tutorial.

Jesper making sure that everyone is right on track during the Capture One 5 PRO tutorial.

Our next guest speaker, Matthew (pictured here with our colleague, Steven), giving a brief introduction on the lighting equipment that he uses.

After an interesting presentation on "How to Create Better Images", Matthew gives a preview of a master photographer at work with our Leaf + Phase One system and Elinchrom lights.

Our very spontaneous participants trying out the Leaf + Phase One camera system with our model, Priscilla.

A mini exhibition of powerful images taken by professional photographers from all over the world with the Leaf Aptus digital camera backs.

Besides showcasing the Leaf + Phase One camera systems, other products on display included the Apple Mac Pro, EIZO CG301W monitor, Drobo and DroboPro storage systems, and Datacolor Spyder3 family.

More hands-on opportunities for participants at the end of the workshop.
