Wireless Freedom™ for Professionals

The PocketWizard wireless triggering devices that all professional photographers have come to trust has its humble beginnings in a secret electronics laboratory in Burlington, Vermont. It was where an assistant for an architectural photographer ran to some twenty years ago when he needed a light trigger that worked better than a modified garage door opener, and it still is where the engineers at Lab Partner’s Associates (LPA) continue to bring us the finest that PocketWizard has to offer.

The PocketWizard tagline “MAKE IT POSSIBLE™” is a fitting one; right from the birth of the FlashWizard radio slave to the latest PocketWizard MiniTT1™ Transmitter and FlexTT5™ Transceiver, these devices have proven their mettle in the most crucial situations.

A historical moment for PocketWizard took place at an NBA Finals game in the 90’s where a freak accident cut off all the cables, including those to the overhead strobes. A quick-thinking Jim Clark, one of the geniuses at LPA, pulled the cords on the remote flashes and using his wireless FlashWizard radios, captured every single shot thereafter without missing a beat.

Having won photographers over with its promise of wireless freedom, PocketWizard has long been a name synonymous with reliability and quality. And with its latest introduction of the CE versions of the MiniTT1 and FlexTT5, which is suitable for use in Europe and Asia, PocketWizard is no doubt the industry leader in wireless control and synchronization of cameras, flash lighting and light meters.

New from PocketWizard: MiniTT1-Canon CE Transmitter (on Canon EOS 1D MK III) and FlexTT5-Canon CE Transceiver (on Canon Speedlite 430EX II)

MiniTT1 CE Transmitter
The New Shape of Wireless Freedom

Now available for Canon and Nikon

The smallest PocketWizard radio ever, the MiniTT1 Transmitter uses the new PocketWizard ControlTL™ System which allows it to digitally transmit the complex E-TTL II (Canon) / i-TTL (Nikon) data from your camera's hot shoe in a reliable radio signal - you can now shoot further, faster, around corners, and even through walls at high noon in bright daylight!

Change the flash compensation dial on your camera and those commands pass seamlessly through the system to your remote flash; adjust your shutter speed, aperture or ISO and the system corrects for those changes; a ratio command set on your flash or command unit will pass through the MiniTT1 to set the remotes.

When used for standard triggering with any PocketWizard Receiver like the FlexTT5, PocketWizard's HyperSync Technology lets you advance the timing of your flash trigger up to 1/500 sec camera sync with many camera/strobe setups. Pushing your ControlTL system beyond 1/500 sec will bring you into FP/High-Speed Sync mode automatically, giving you flash sync all the way to 1/8000 sec.

Provided with the MiniTT1 is the new PocketWizard Utility program that allows you to configure your channel settings, dial in your HyperSync timing, adjust your sleep-mode timers and update your product to the latest firmware - all via a USB port.

FlexTT5 CE Transceiver
The Most Versatile PocketWizard Ever

Now available for Canon and Nikon

The dedicated 433.42 - 434.42 MHz CE FlexTT5 Transceiver, with its built-in hot-shoe and ControlTL firmware, is the perfect addition to Canon E-TTL II or Nikon CLS / i-TTL flash systems, taking the benefits of the these wireless systems beyond the boundaries of infrared technology.

Its design is simple: just mount a flash or command unit on the FlexTT5 to use the same zone controls and ratio commands as you normally would. Any changes in ISO, shutter speed and aperture will be detected by the system and adjustments will be made accordingly to ensure that your exposures stay right on target.

Each of the two channel configuration settings (C1 and C2) can be customized to meet your needs - up to 20 ControlTL channels for TTL photography or 32 standard channels for manual flash photography. For ease of use with Canon / Nikon zones and ratios, the FlexTT5 also features a three-zone selector switch.

Like the MiniTT1 Transmitter, the FlexTT5 boasts of PocketWizard's HyperSync Technology which allows you to precisely advance the timing of your flash trigger so that you can achieve up to 1/500 sec flash sync speed. And if higher speeds are needed, just push your ControlTL system beyond 1/500 sec to advance into FP/High-Speed sync mode automatically - change your shutter speed and you can get flash sync all the way to 1/8000 sec!

What makes this FlexTT5 the most versatile PocketWizard ever is its ability to switch back and forth between Transmitter and Receiver modes as and when you need it! This great flexibility is made possible with PocketWizard's Auto-Sensing Transceiver Technology; when a hot-shoe or other trigger is detected, the FlexTT5 automatically switches to Transmitter mode. With Auto-Relay Mode, you can easily trigger a remote camera in sync with remote flash.

The FlexTT5 comes with the PocketWizard Utility program which, via USB, allows you to configure your channel settings, dial in your HyperSync timing, adjust your sleep-mode timers as well as update your product to the latest firmware.

MultiMAX CE Transceiver
The Most Advanced Wireless Triggering System Available

The sophisticated trigger time control software and transceiver communication capabilities make the MultiMAX Transceiver the most innovative and advanced digital radio triggering system available in the photographic market today.

So advanced that it opens up limitless creative possibilities for the professional or serious amateur photographer:

  • 32 16-Bit Channels - Trigger individual groups of lights and/or cameras simultaneously or individually. Critical to working in crowded venues or with multiple lighting set-ups.
  • Selective Quad-Zone Triggering - Activate or deactivate electronic flash units and/or cameras wirelessly in four separately controllable zones (ABCD) without leaving the camera position (audible and visible confirmation).
  • Time-Lapse Imaging - Perform time-lapse imaging and photograph events as they unfold. Capture up to 10,000 exposures over a time period of approximately 18 hours using the integrated intervalometer.
  • Multi-Pop Flash - Adds depth-of-field to images or generates stroboscopic motion images. Allows your flash to be fired up to 10,000 times on the same exposure while waiting for a user programmed recycle time, from 1/100th to 10 minutes, between pops.
  • Rear-Curtain Sync - Capture ambient streaks of light at slow shutter speeds, even for cameras without this feature. Delay the sync time to fire the electronic flash unit near the end of the exposure, with precision of 1/10,000th of a second. Includes pre-programmed shutter speeds of 1 to 1/60th of a second, with additional setting configurable via the MultiMAX's delay time adjustment screen.
