General
1. What is Cathay Photo Rewards Program?
  Cathay Photo Rewards Program lets our retail customers enjoy exclusive members-only privileges, as well as earn and redeem points with every visit to our shops. It's our way of saying "thank you" for the continued support that you have given us.
   
2. Who is eligible to join?
  Any customer can apply to join the program upon purchasing a product (no minimum amount required) on the same day, at any Cathay Photo outlets.

A customer who would like to join but is under the age of 18 years old shall be required to, at the absolute discretion of Cathay Photo, get his/her parent/guardian to apply on his/her behalf; OR acquire a written consent for the membership.

   
3. What are the membership privileges?
  Members can enjoy the following privileges:
  • Earning Rewards Points to redeem them on any purchase (except the purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers, payment for services, and replacement card fee) at Cathay Photo outlets - please refer to the section below on "Earning and Redeeming Rewards Points" for details;
  • Invitation to product previews;
  • Invitation to exclusive member workshops and events;
  • Priority queue for product pre-orders;
  • Exclusive member promotions; and
  • Receive updates on latest promotions and products.
   
4. How do I update my personal particulars?
  You can either fill up the "Update My Particulars" form, which is available at our outlets, and submit it to our sales personnel, or send us an email at rewards@cathayphoto.com.sg. In your email, please indicate your name, NRIC or Passport Number, and the information that you would like to update, so that we can handle your request within 7 working days.
   
5. Is my personal data safe with Cathay Photo?
  We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding the personal data that you have entrusted to us, in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle your personal data.
   
6. Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
  No, the membership is not transferable.
   
7. Can I share my Cathay Photo Rewards Card ("Card") with someone else?
  Sharing of the Card is not allowed.
   
8. What should I do if my Card is discovered to be lost, stolen, damaged or defective?
  You must immediately report to us once your card is discovered to be lost, stolen, damaged or defective. Kindly approach our Sales staff to cancel your Card and apply for a replacement. A SGD10 replacement fee will apply, and the replacement Card will be mailed to you within 30 days.
   
9. If someone finds my lost Card, will he/she be able to use it?
  We require Members to present their Card together with a valid Photo ID at the point of purchase (to earn Points) or redemption, for our verification. However, Members are responsible for taking good care of their Cards, and report the loss of Card to us immediately. We will not be responsible for any lost points or misuse thereof.
   
   
Earning and Redeeming Rewards Points
10. How do I earn Rewards Points?
  Points are awarded on your purchase as follows:
  • Every SGD5.00 spent on Non-House* Brands = 1 Point earned;
  • Every SGD5.00 spent on House* Brands = 2 Points earned

11. How can I redeem my Points?
  Every 100 Points earned is equivalent to 1 CATHAY DOLLAR (CP$), and accumulated CP$ can be redeemed on your next purchase at any Cathay Photo outlet. Your Card and a valid Photo ID must be presented at the point of payment in order to earn and redeem points.
   
12. How long does it take for the earned Points to be updated in my account?
  Points are reflected in Members' accounts immediately after the purchase is successfully made.
   
13. Do my membership and accumulated Points expire?
  The Program offers lifetime membership. However, Points awarded shall expire in a period of one (1) year from the month the points were earned.

For example, if you have earned fifty (50) Points during the month of February 2016, these Points will expire on the last day of February 2017.

   
14. Can I convert my Points to cash and withdraw it from my account?
  No, Points earned are not exchangeable for cash.
   
15. How do I check the balance Points in my account?
  To check on your account balance, you can send an email to rewards@cathayphoto.com.sg or approach our Sales staff at any Cathay Photo outlet for assistance.
   
16. If I fail to show or bring my Card when purchasing, can I still earn Points?
  Points shall be awarded to the Member only upon presenting the Card prior to payment; Points will not be awarded if the Member fails to present the Card.
   
17. If I fail to show or bring my Card when purchasing, can I still earn Points by presenting the proof of purchase at a later time?
  No. Points will only be awarded at the point of purchase. Presenting a receipt after the purchase is made in order to earn Points will not be entertained.
   
18. Will I earn any Points on my purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers?
  No. Buying Cathay Photo vouchers will not earn you any Points.
   
19. Can I earn Points from a purchase that was made with Cathay Photo vouchers as a mode of payment?
  Purchases that were paid in full by vouchers will not be entitled to earn any Points. Purchases that were paid partially by vouchers will earn points for the portion that was not paid by vouchers.
   
20. Can I earn Points from a purchase that was made with Cathay Photo Dollars (CP$) as a mode of payment?
  Purchases that were paid in full by CP$ will not be entitled to earn any Points. Purchases that were paid partially by CP$ will earn points for the portion that was not paid by vouchers.
   
21. What are the products/services that are not eligible for earning Points?
  The following transactions are not eligible for Points accumulation:
  • Purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers, clearance items and spare parts;
  • Corporate purchases;
  • Payment of repair charges, and other ad hoc service charges; and
  • Purchase of any item using CP$ and/or vouchers issued by Cathay Photo as payment mode.
   
22. Are there any products/services that cannot be paid for with CP$?
  You can use your accumulated CP$ as full or partial rebates for all products at Cathay Photo outlets, except for the following products/services:
  • Purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers;
  • Payment for repair charges, and other ad hoc service charges; and
  • Payment for replacement fee of lost Card.
   
Returning, Refunding or Exchanging of Items
23. What will happen if I return/refund or exchange a purchased item?
  For Exchanges:
  • In the event that we accept a purchased item for exchange ('the first item'), any Points that a Member has used to purchase the first item will be credited back to the Member's account and, concurrently, any Points earned arising from the said purchase will be deducted from the Member's account.
  • The Member may then use whatever balance he has in his account to pay for the new item to be exchanged ('second item') PROVIDED ALWAYS that the second item must be of equal or higher value than the first item.
  • If there is insufficient Points in the Member's account to purchase the second item, then the Member must top-up any shortfall in Points for the second item by way of cash.

 

For Returns/Refunds:

  • In the event that we accept a purchased item to be returned for whatever reason(s), or decide to give a refund (partially or wholly) for a purchased item, any Points that a Member has used to purchase the said item will be credited back to the Member's account and, concurrently, any Points earned arising from the said purchase will be deducted from the Member's account.
  • If there is insufficient Points in the Member's account to be deducted in order to complete the transaction, the Member must top-up the shortfall in Points by way of cash.
