The FUJIFILM X-S10 is a compact mirrorless camera body that’s packed with cutting-edge technologies to bring out your best as a photographer. The portability and power of this camera will let you connect with your subjects like never before.

Perfect Color to Define Your Photographic Style

Digital doesn’t have to be dull. Fujifilm has poured over 85 years of color science know-how into its latest X Series cameras, so photographers and filmmakers can revel in the unique look and feel of 18 different Film Simulations. But these aren’t just any old color profiles that would be available in digital cameras or smart phones – each Film Simulation is precisely engineered to reproduce colors and tones from some of Fujifilm’s most popular analog film surfaces and photo finishing processes.

By choosing your favorite Film Simulation, you can make images or video with a consistent look, move them straight out of the camera to a smart phone or computer and post them directly to social media or blog right after they are made.

Want to stand out? X-S10 makes it easy to create your own distinctive visual style by combining Film Simulations with other expressive effects, including film grain texture, color depth, clarity, sharpness, and highlight and shadow tones. All these adjustments are displayed live in the EVF and on the LCD touchscreen, so you can cook up great-looking effects and save them as presets.

All 18 Film Simulations can be selected in AUTO/SP, plus it is now possible to create images in RAW format while the modes are selected. This means that even in situations, where it is impossible to quickly and easily change camera settings, you can be sure to have maximum versatility in post-production.

Grain Effect

From a mild texture to the gritty look of a traditional high-ISO film, with X-S10 you can easily add natural-looking grain to your photos in camera. Control the intensity and size for just the right amount of texture.

Color Chrome Effect

Use X-S10’s Color Chrome effects, to add depth, detail, and natural vividness to red, green, or yellow tones in your image where saturation is too high to achieve true gradation; or use Color Chrome FX Blue to adjust values in just the blue tones of an image. Adjust them separately in three levels to perfectly match your subject.

Tone

High-contrast scenes like backlit buildings can be tamed with X-S10’s Highlight and Shadow Tone controls. Spread across 13 different increments, adjustments are simple to make and fine-tune, so pictures will easily turn out balanced and natural, minimizing the time needed to post-process images.

Clarity

The Clarity control lets you decide whether to depict a scene with a crisp sharpness or give it a softer feel. With 11 levels of control, it’s easy to fine-tune it to your own personal taste and style.

White Balance

Achieving perfect color partly comes from Fujifilm’s pioneering X-Trans sensor, but also from the quality of the camera’s white balance system. Fine adjustments can be made, including setting the Auto White Balance (AWB) to one of three modes: Auto, White Priority, and Ambience Priority.

When the camera is set to White Priority under incandescent lighting, white is more likely to be reproduced as white. But when Ambience Priority is set, scenes will be photographed with an overall warmer white balance to preserve the environmental characteristics of the scene.

Monochromatic Color

X-S10 has multiple black & white Film Simulations, and now those looks can also be customized and saved, including warm or cool tone adjustments to monochrome effects, for a unique vintage or fine-art style.

Creative Filters

In addition to using Film Simulations, X-S10 also has 13 Filter options for you to add creative looks. Choose from Toy Camera, High Key, Dynamic Tone and many more to help your photography stand apart from the crowd.

Style You'll Want to Take Everywhere

With its professional features and a design that you’ll want to show off, X-S10 is a camera you’ll want to take everywhere. Its durable, light-weight construction, beautiful design, and trademark in-hand feel truly upholds the reputation that FUJIFILM X Series cameras have for being both style icons and reliable photographic tools.

Grip Design

This camera’s small size doesn’t mean it compromises on handling. X-S10 features an ergonomic grip, making it easier to keep the camera stable when larger lenses are mounted. It’s also equipped with a magnesium-alloy front and top-plate to keep the body rigid and robust.

Advanced Autofocus Technology

X-S10’s advanced autofocus uses densely arranged phase detection pixels and advanced algorithms to achieve best-in-class autofocus. Reaching blistering speeds and working across the frame, X-S10 ensures you’re perfectly equipped to frame every opportunity.

AF Speed

With its X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X Processor 4 image processing engine combining to produce best-in-class autofocus performance, X-S10 performs beautifully with either face detection or subject tracking enabled.

It also offers AF speed equivalent to that of other high-performance X Series Mirrorless Cameras*, reaching an incredible 0.02 secs. No matter the situation, X-S10’s AF can track and hold the most difficult of moving subjects with tenacious speed, or lock onto an individual’s face with wonderfully intelligent anticipation.

Face / Eye AF

When photographing moving subjects, or while using a shallow depth-of-field, you can confidently rely on X-S10 to keep the subject’s face or eyes in focus and track them with precision, so you don’t miss a moment. When it’s time to record video, let X-S10 focus on keeping the subject sharp, so you can focus on the story.

Tracking AF

AF speed and performance doesn’t let up when it comes to other subjects. The AF algorithm detects shapes and colors to identify subjects and keep them in focus with high-speed tracking performance. Simply activate focus with a half-press of the shutter button and X-S10 will smoothly and accurately track them as they move around the frame.

Low Light AF

Do you need to make photos in very dark interiors or low-light situations outdoors? X-S10’s Intelligent Hybrid Phase Detection autofocus system delivers sharp and clear results. With a sensitivity of up to -7EV*, autofocus can be used even in nighttime conditions where other cameras might struggle.

*When XF 50 F1.0 R WR Lens is attached.

Improved AE/AF Algorithm for AUTO/SP

From passing landscapes to fleeting portrait moments, when using AUTO or SP mode with Pre-AF enabaled, X-S10’s new autofocus algorithm automatically recognizes different subjects and scenes providing enhanced focusing speed, accuracy, and performance.

MF Assist

There are plenty of times when focusing manually is required and X-S10 offers three, superb MF Assist functions to help. Focus Peak emphasizes in-focus areas on screen, while Digital Split Image and Digital Microprism recreate the visual focusing tools from classic cameras, letting you use them as a guide to adjust sharpness.

Image Stabilization

X-S10 may use a downsized In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) module, but it doesn’t compromise on performance. Despite being smaller in volume and weight by an amazing 30%*, when compared to X-T4’s IBIS, this newly developed and highly compact unit still offers up to six stops of stabilization!

Smooth video and sharper stills are certainly on the horizon with this compact system, which is also the first X Series mid-range camera to use a motion sensor retention mechanism. This shock absorber guards against slight vibrations that may come from the shutter unit, adding another level of stability to ensure that image clarity and resolution are maintained. As with other IBIS-enabled X Series camera bodies, when used with OIS system lenses, X-S10 will also synchronize with the lens to provide enhanced stabilization performance.

High-Speed Continuous Framing

With fast-moving subjects, keeping up with the action is totally possible between X-S10’s 8 frames per second mechanical shutter or its Electronic Shutter (ES) which can make images at approximately 20 frames per second. For those moments that simply cannot be missed, ES can achieve up to 30 frames per second with a slight crop to the view.

Silent Shutter

X-S10’s Electronic Shutter (ES) isn’t just about speed, it also allows you to create photos in complete silence. Perfect for moments when you need to be discrete, ES mode lets you make pictures in museums, art galleries, weddings, and even your children’s concerts without worrying about the sound of the shutter. It also works hand-in-hand with Continuous-Low and Continuous-High Drive settings, so you won’t miss a picture in any situation.

Versatile Pop-Up Flash

To give you more lighting options, X-S10 is equipped with a high-performance Super i-Flash, which lets you make beautiful photos just as you see them. The camera automatically controls flash power to give even and natural-looking results, full of contrast and detail.

Frame to Perfection

When composing via X-S10’s electronic viewfinder, the camera’s high-definition 2.36 million dot display provides a clear and detailed view, with instant feedback on exposure and other settings.

Using Boost mode, the EVF’s frame rate can also be increased to a maximum of 100fps, letting you effortlessly follow fast-moving subjects with ease through the viewfinder.

Find Your Perfect Photo Style

A camera should be so easy to use that it becomes an extension of your eye. To achieve that, X-S10 has a number of functions that let you customize camera controls to suit your personal style of photography.

Customizability

Easily accessed from the camera’s top plate, X-S10’s mode dial features four custom positions, C1 to C4, where your favorite image quality, focus, and drive settings can all be saved and instantly recalled. For example, use C1 for high-speed continuous drive and AF settings, which can be used to photograph fast-moving subjects, while keeping electronic shutter settings saved to C2 to be ready for situations where silence is required.

No matter what you decide, these custom positions are sure to keep you more focused on making your image and less focused on navigating the camera’s menus.

Quick Menu

Adding to X-S10’s usability, the Q menu can be used to instantly recall up to 16 frequently used menus to let you quickly change between focus modes and enable features like Eye Detection AF, for example. Additionally, since the image is still visible behind the Q menu, customizing it to show fewer items can help you monitor the image more easily as you are making changes to your settings.

Fn Buttons

Spend less time navigating menus and more time making images by mapping the features you use most to X-S10’s dedicated Fn button and Fn dial. If you have more than two favorites, map up to an additional five of your favorite menu items to any of the five other customizable buttons on the camera body. Just hold the DISP/ BACK button on the back of the camera to start living a menu-free life.

Touch Operation

Mixing assured manual handling and the latest technology, X-S10 features a touchscreen that lets you operate it with simple gestures.

Just like a smartphone, you can swipe to bring up menus or zoom in and out of a picture in Playback mode. Use Touch Shot to focus on the touched area and make a picture, Touch AF to focus on a touched area, and Touch Area to move the focus frame to a touched area. In Face Detect AF mode, you can also switch between different faces in the frame.

X S10 Smartphone

Wireless Communication

With a host of wireless connectivity options, X-S10 is primed for sharing. Using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, you can share your memories with friends and family on social media by connecting and downloading your images to the FUJFILM Camera Remote App or instantly connect and print your favorites from any compatible instax™ printer.

Smartphone

Install the free FUJIFILM Camera Remote App on your smartphone or tablet and you’ll be able to send images from the camera to your smart devices, control the camera’s exposure settings, and remotely release the shutter. The app can also help you save data by compressing images down to 3MB as they’re transferred.

Pairing your camera via Bluetooth will allow you to schedule image transfers from the camera to your device while it is not being used. You can also enable notifications for firmware updates, then download and install them remotely, without the need for a computer.

instax™ Printer

Use X-S10’s Wi-Fi connection to sync with an instax™ printer and you can make card-sized prints from your high-quality photos. With instant printing, it’s easy to share your images as gifts or create treasured albums from your travels.

Wired Communication

As well as wireless communication, X-S10 can be connected to smartphones, tablets, or computers using a regular USB connection to transfer images. On computers with compatible web conferencing software, connecting via USB will also allow you to use X-S10 as an incredibly high-quality webcam.

Smartphone

Transfer your high-resolution images or videos five to eight times faster than wireless communication by connecting X-S10 to your smartphone, tablet, or PC using a USB cable. No app is needed, just a compatible USB cable and a quick adjustment to the camera’s setup menu.

Webcam

If you’re connecting with others online, X-S10 can be used as a high-quality webcam with all the benefits that usually come from using an interchangeable lens camera.

Simply install the free FUJIFILM X Webcam software on your computer and connect it to your computer via a USB cable. You can also make use of Fujifilm’s color science and use Film Simulations to attend online meetings with a unique look only Fujifilm can provide.

High-Resolution 4K

Many of today’s cameras have a 4K video output, but X-S10’s is unique because its footage is oversampled from an original 6K signal. Using this rich data, the camera can deliver high-resolution footage with relatively low noise. It also supports filming in DCI format with a 17:9 aspect, allowing for a truly high-quality cinematic look.

Fujifilm’s unrivalled color science brings its benefits to video, too. When creating movies, you can use any of X-S10’s 18 different Film Simulations to add your own distinctive look to footage, including ETERNA, the motion picture film stock used in many movie masterpieces.

Full HD 240p High Speed Footage

When working in Full HD resolution, you can make high-speed movies at 240fps. Played back at normal speed, this results in smooth, high-resolution footage with up to a 10x slow-motion effect.

Movie Record Button

With a dedicated movie recording button on its top-plate, X-S10 lets you start a recording even when creating still images, using the same quality settings. Exposure and focus settings are automatically controlled while recording, allowing you to concentrate on your subject and make better movies.

Digital Image Stabilization

In addition to X-S10’s In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), enabling Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) mode will powerfully compensate for camera shake even when walking with the camera. Adding IS Mode Boost provides even more stabilization, nearly eliminating camera shake when it is used from a fixed, hand-held position.

F-Log

For a professional finish to your footage, X-S10 supports F-Log video format, which allows you to record movies with a wide dynamic range, improving detail in highlights and giving a look that’s closer to the human eye. Ideal for making post-production adjustments on your computer with video editing software, using F-Log View Assist while recording will give you a BT.709 equivalent preview on the LCD monitor, to help with visualizing what an edit could potentially look like.

Microphone Jack

To improve the sound you record, X-S10 has a 3.5mm microphone jack, letting you connect an external microphone.

Headphone Connection

There is a headphone adapter included, which connects to the camera’s USB-C port and lets you monitor recording or listen to footage during playback.

Improved AF-C During Movie Mode

To ensure smooth, accurate, and stable focusing in movie recording, X-S10’s AF algorithm has been completely revised. This means you’ll get reliable focus on the subject even when filming in low-light conditions and in F-Log mode.

Photometry for Movies

For better exposure on tricky lighting scenarios, X-S10 allows you to select from multi-zone, center-weighted, spot, and average metering modes. For instance, use spot metering mode to stabilize the exposure in selfie videos and scenes with unpredictable lighting and camera positions.

Movie Menu

X-S10’s mode dial can be set to a dedicated movie position which switches the menu to exclusively show movie settings. This lets filmmakers apply detailed settings for image quality, focus, audio, and other aspects of video recording, or create their own customized movie setups.

Silent Control During Movie-Making

To improve movie audio and let you adjust settings without worrying about dial clicks being picked up during a recording, X-S10’s dedicated movie operation mode allows you to change settings in silence using the touchscreen.
