7K 60p RAW

Capture high-resolution 7K 60p RAW (Light) internally in full-frame 17:9, preserving rich detail and depth for serious post-production.

It balances image quality with more efficient file handling, while support for Canon RAW development and NLE plug-ins give creators greater flexibility from shoot to final edit.

4K 60p / 30p Oversampled

Create detailed 4K footage with oversampling at 60p Fine and up to 7K oversampling in 4K 30p Fine*. With more data than the final resolution requires, it produces cleaner, more detailed images with smoother gradations and more accurate colours.

4K 120p

Capture smooth slow-mo sequences in stunning 4K - with full autofocus, exposure tracking, and up to 5x slower playback.

The full horizontal readout and advanced processing deliver razor-sharp detail at 120fps, with no crop.

2K 180p / FHD 180p

Make moments go up to 7.5x slower with 2K or Full HD 180p recording* for added impact and detail - with audio captured, your footage is ready to use straight out of the camera.

Cinematic Colour Control

Shape stories with Canon Log 2 & 3, giving you film-like latitude with up to 15+ stops of dynamic range* and seamless integration with the Cinema EOS series. For faster productions, the EOS R6 V also supports Canon 709, HDR PQ and HLG profiles, helping creators achieve polished results straight out of camera.

With Custom Picture, Look Files (LUT) and in-camera Colour Filters, creators can preview, refine and maintain their intended look from shoot to edit. Proxy & Sub Recording

Record 7K RAW or 4K DCI to CFexpress while simultaneously capturing lightweight 2K DCI proxy or 4K sub files to the SD card. Shared timecode and file names keep both recordings in perfect sync for a smooth post-production workflow.

Apply Look Files (LUT) to your proxies so editors can see your intended look from the start, while the original RAW file stays fully flexible for final grading.

LPCM / 24-Bit / 4-Ch Audio

Record studio-quality 24-bit audio with flexible 4-channel input support. The multi-channel audio system allows you to combine external microphones, the built-in mic and multiple sources at once, making it ideal for interviews with clear dialogue, rich ambient recordings, live performances with separate instrument and vocal tracks, or director's commentary captured on the go.

Register People Priority lets you store up to 100 faces, so the camera automatically recognises and prioritises the right subjects — freeing you to focus on telling the story.

Keep focus locked when presenting products close to the camera. AF for close-up demo helps the EOS R6 V shift focus smoothly between the creator and nearby objects, making reviews, tutorials and product shots easier to film solo.

In-Body Stabilizer

The EOS R6 V's built-in 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilizer reduces camera shake across every lens - delivering stable, smooth footage. Pair it with a compatible RF lens and Coordinated Control IS combines In-Body Image Stabilizer (IS) and Optical Image Stabilizer (IS) for even greater shake reduction, extending correction up to 7.5 stops¹ for handheld telephoto and long-exposure shooting that once required a tripod.

For video, Coordinated Control IS with Movie Digital IS brings all three systems - In-Body IS, Optical IS and Movie Digital - together, minimising camera shake and movement across the peripheral area and keeping footage smooth and natural even while walking or shooting handheld. From handheld 7K RAW to fast-moving run-and-gun shoots, motion remains natural and fluid throughout. Every story comes out cinematic, stable and ready to use.

In-Built Cooling Fan

Dual Card Slots

The EOS R6 V offers flexible dual card recording with one CFexpress Type B slot and one SD UHS-II slot, supporting high-performance recording while keeping workflows efficient.

Record RAW to CFexpress and sub or proxy movies to the SD card, record stills and movies separately, continue with relay recording, or create backup recordings across both cards for greater production security.
