About the Program

  • How do I sign up for the Rewards Program?

    You can sign up for this program when you make your first purchase at our retail or online store* (no minimum purchase amount is required).

    If you are under the age of 18 years old, you may be required to, at our absolute discretion, get your parent/guardian to apply your behalf, or for your parent/guardian to provide a written consent for the membership.

    Once membership application is approved, you will receive a Cathay Photo Rewards Card (“Card”).

  • What is Cathay Photo Rewards Program?

    Cathay Photo Rewards Program is a free membership program that allows us to thank our customers for their loyalty and to reward them for shopping with us.

Membership Benefits

  • How do I redeem my CP$?

    To redeem your CP$ as full or partial cash rebates on your purchase at our retail outlet, you will be required to present your Rewards Card (“Card”) and a valid photo ID at the point of payment.

  • If I made a purchase in your retail store and I had used Cathay Photo vouchers to pay for only a portion of the total amount, will I still earn Points for that purchase?

    If the purchase was only paid partially by vouchers, you will earn Points for the portion that was not paid by vouchers.

  • Can I redeem my CP$ when making my purchases online?

    Unfortunately, at this time, CP$ are only redeemable for your purchases in our retail stores, and not for your online purchases.

  • How long does it take for the earned Points to be updated in my account?

    For purchases made in our retail stores, the earned Points will be reflected in your account immediately and can be redeemed on your next purchase.

    However, for online purchases, the earned Points will only be reflected in your account on the next working day and can only be redeemed thereafter.

  • Can I redeem my CP$ for all purchases and/or transactions done in the retail stores?

    You can redeem your CP$ for all purchases made in our retail stores, except for the following:

    • Purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers;
    • Payment for repair charges, and other ad hoc service charges; and
    • Payment for replacement fee of lost Card.
  • If I fail to show or bring my Card when purchasing, can I still earn points?

    Points shall be awarded to the member only upon presenting the Card prior to payment; points will not be awarded if the member fails to present the Card.

  • Will my membership and accumulated Points expire?

    Your Rewards membership is for life and does not expire. However, the Points that you earn will expire 1 year from the month that they were earned. For example, if you have earned fifty (50) Points in the month of April this year, these points will expire on the last day of April next year.

  • If I fail to show or bring my card when purchasing, can I earn points by presenting the proof of purchase at a later time?

    No. Points will only be awarded at the point of purchase. Presenting a receipt after the purchase is made in order to earn points will not be entertained.

  • What are the privileges that a Rewards Member enjoys?

    As a member of our Rewards Program, you will:

    • Earn Reward Points (“Points”) which can be redeemed as CATHAY DOLLARS (CP$) on your next purchase (subject to our Terms and Conditions) at any of our retail stores;
    • Receive invitations to product previews;
    • Receive invitations to exclusive member workshops and events;
    • Enjoy priority queue for product pre-orders;
    • Enjoy exclusive member promotions; and
    • Receive updates on latest promotions, and products.
  • Can I convert my Points to cash and withdraw it from my account?

    The earned Points will be converted to CP$, which can be used as full or partial cash rebates on your next purchase (subject to our Terms and Conditions) at any of our retail stores.

  • What can I do with my earned Points?

    The earned Points will be converted to CP$, which can be used as full or partial cash rebates on your next purchase (subject to our Terms and Conditions) at any of our retail stores.

  • How do I earn Points?

    Points are earned when you make your purchase at our retail store or online*, as follows:

    • Every S$5 spent on Non-House Brands = 1 Point earned;
    • Every S$5 spent on House Brands = 2 Points earned

  • What happens to the Points earned or CP$ redeemed if I return/refund or exchange a purchased item?

    For returned items or refunds:
    In the event that we accept a purchased item to be returned for whatever reason(s) or decide to give a refund (partially or wholly) for the purchased item, any CP$ that you have used as full or partial cash rebate to purchase the said item will be credited back to the your account and, concurrently, any Points earned arising from the said purchase will be deducted from your account. If there is insufficient Points in your account to be deducted in order to complete the transaction, you must top-up the shortfall in Points by way of cash.

    For exchange:
    In the event that we accept a purchased item for exchange (‘the first item’), any CP$ that you have used as full or partial cash rebate to purchase the first item will be credited back to your account and, concurrently, any Points earned arising from the said purchase will be deducted from your account. You may then use whatever balance you have in your account to pay for the new item to be exchanged (‘the second item’) PROVIDED ALWAYS that the second item must be of equal or higher value than the first item. In the event that the second item is of a higher price than the first item and there is insufficient CP$ in your account to use as full cash rebate to purchase the second item, then you must top up any shortfall in CP$ for the second item by way of cash.

  • How are the earned Points converted to CP$?

    Every 1 Point earned is equivalent to CP$0.01 and the conversion from Points to CP$ is automatic.

  • Are there any items that are not eligible for Points accumulation?

    Yes, you will not be able to earn Points on the following transactions:

    • Purchase of Cathay Photo vouchers, clearance items and spare parts;
    • Corporate purchases
    • Payment for repair charges, and other ad hoc service charges;
    • Purchase of any items using CP$ and/or vouchers issued by Cathay Photo as payment mode; and
    • Any other transactions which we may from time to time deem ineligible for Points accumulation.
  • How do I check the balance Points in my account?

    To check on your account balance, you can send an email to rewards@cathayphoto.com.sg or approach our retail staff at any outlet for assistance.

Personal Data Protection and Update

  • Can I transfer my membership to someone else?

    No, the membership is not transferable.

  • Can I share my Card with someone else?

    Sharing of the Cathay Photo Rewards Card is not allowed.

  • How do I update my personal particulars?

    You need to send a written request to us via email (rewards@cathayphoto.com.sg). We will need sufficient information from you in order to determine your identity as well as the nature of your request, so as to be able to deal with your request within 7 working days.

Lost or Stolen Card

  • If someone finds my lost card, will he/she be able to use it?

    We require a Member to present his Card together with a valid Photo ID at the point of purchase or redemption, for our verification. However, a Member is responsible for taking good care of his Card, and report its loss to us immediately. We will not be responsible for any lost points or misuse thereof.

  • What should I do if my card is discovered to be lost, stolen, and damaged or defective?

    You must immediately report to us once your card is discovered to be lost, stolen, and damaged or defective. Kindly approach our Sales staff to cancel your card and apply for a replacement. A SGD10 card replacement fee will apply, and the replacement card will be mailed to you within 30 days.
